The Isle of Man TT is probably the most famous motorcycle race in the world, it’s also the most dangerous. Today we’ll show you how to watch Isle of Man TT live in New Zealand for free.
The TT was founded in May 1907 and was called the International Auto-Cycle Tourist Trophy but was renamed to the Isle of Man TT in 1911 when the track was moved to Snaefell Mountain course which is 37.73 miles long.
Every year, motorcycle riders from all over the world descend on the tiny island in between Ireland and England for the world famous, featuring various classes of race including supersport, superstock, sidecar and classic races.
Between 1907 and 2018 there have been 149 fatalities on the mountain circuit during actual races and practice laps. One of the worst years was 2016 when 5 riders died during the race. Regardless there is still an endless stream of riders queuing to signup to ride the TT.
The rider with the most wins was Joey Dunlop with 26 followed closely by John McGuiness with 23 and Michael Dunlop on 19.
How To Watch Isle of Man TT
Until 2018 you could watch the Isle of Man TT live and on demand through the official IOMTT website where they regularly had 100,000 visitors every year. Unfortunately this service was stopped due to licensing issues.
