Get ready for three days and nights of exhilarating performances, from 100s of artists from around the globe, with the return of WOMAD in Taranaki, New Zealand.  30,000 people can’t be wrong! WOMAD 2005 was New Zealand’s largest sold out music festival of the summer. With 400 performers from 18 different countries; 5 outdoor stages; 30 hours of live music from across the globe; 80 food and craft stalls operating in the global village; and 3,000 kids getting creative in the Kidzone, this WOMAD will be no different. In fact the WOMAD site will be growing to allow for more performance spaces and stalls so that festival go-ers can enjoy themselves even more!

WOMAD has had international acts such as Celenod from New Caledonia, Etran Finatawa from Niger, Shivkumar Sharma and Rahul Sharma from India to name a few. From New Zealand there will be the likes of Hollie Smith and Don McGlashan and the Seven Sisters and more.
